Lake Hodges windsurfing regulations
Windsurfing is allowed during the regular recreation schedule at Hodges only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Windsurfing recreation today reflects several changes since it was last offered in 2008:
- Periodic patrols will be conducted by Lake Hodges reservoir staff.
- All vessels, including windsurfing boards, must be inspected for quagga mussels by Lake Hodges reservoir staff at the Quagga Inspection Station prior to entering the reservoir (Quagga Inspection Station is located near the boat launch ramp).
- All Lake Hodges windsurfers must sign a waiver of liability (waiver available at the Quagga Inspection Station) prior to entering the reservoir.
- All Lake Hodges windsurfers must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.
- All Lake Hodges windsurfing must pay a $7.00 launch fee must be paid at the electronic pay station or iron ranger located near the Quagga Inspection Station prior to entering the reservoir.
- The former Lake Hodges windsurfing parking area by the new pump station is no longer open or available due to safety concerns.
- Lake Hodges windsurfers may enter the reservoir from the boat launch ramp or shoreline.
- No one at Lake Hodges, including recreational users, may disturb any vegetation or other natural feature along the Lake Hodges shoreline.
- All Lake Hodges reservoir Rules and Regulations must be followed at all times.
- These Lake Hodges rules are available from staff at the Quagga Inspection Station and at kiosks near the concession building.
